Vintage Cleminsons California Pottery Queen Bumble Bee Honey Pitcher

A wonderful black, yellow & white queen bumble bee honey pitcher made by Cleminsons. The top of the bee's crown makes the lip of the pitcher. She is approx. 5 1/2" tall. The piece is in very good condition with no chips or cracks but does have one small paint flake in the front and overall minor crazing. The piece was made with no handle but the size is a perfect fit in your hand so none was necessary. Cleminsons was started as a hobby out of the garage of Betty Cleminson in 1941. She concentrated much of her efforts to useful kitchen related items. The factory eventually closed in 1963 when it became apparent they could no longer compete with the ever growing number of imports.
