Germany All Bisque Doll with Molded Hair & Clothing, c.1890-1910

This German all-bisque doll measures 4 1/2" in height. He is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. He does have a chip on the back side of his right arm. He is wire pin jointed at both the shoulders and hips. The inside of his arms have rather large pour holes. He has well modeled painted hair with pronounced comb marks. His white romper suit has an over-all cloth pattern molded into the bisque. He is unmarked except for mold numbers on the inside of his legs. These sharp bisque dolls are known to have been made by German manufacturers but there were quite a few makers. His complexion has been tinted with nicely painted facial features. The neck and cuff bands are painted pink with a red belt and black shoes and white socks.
