These large nuggets of furnace glass contain many brightly coloured stripes. Glass artists make furnace glass by taking several canes of glass and using heat to fuse them together into a larger cane. This cane is heated and manipulated to create interesting colour patterns.

The furnace in these earrings has been facetted to show off its colours. I twisted some square sterling silver wire and wrapped it around each bead.

The earrings hang 32mm (1-1/4 inches) from earwires I handcrafted out of sterling silver wire. If you prefer traditional earwires or leverbacks, these can be substituted at no additional cost.
