This vintage Native American cuff bracelet, is a really unique piece of Southwestern Navajo jewelry. It is about 30 years old, and features a large hand polished natural stone of what I believe to be malachite with black matrix. No lines like you would normally see, but it does check out in the mineral books. The stone itself measures about 1-1/4'' tall by 7/8'' wide. It is mounted in a sterling silver full wrap mount, and fixed to the band which is quite thick. The band measures about 5-1/4'' along the inside with an additional opening of 7/8'', giving you a total size of approximately 6-12/8''. But being silver, this could very easily be spread gently or closed as necessary. It has been signed M.Lee and Sterling. I have of course polished the silver, as I cannot stand to wear dirty jewelry myself. I know a lot of people like the patina as such, but considering the patina truly is just dirt, I do like to remove it. Thank you for your interest in this unique and very nice older piece of Navajo history.
