Pair of Vintage Framed Romantic Scene Plates

A pair of very attractively framed European plates with romantic scenes. Each plate has an outdoor pastoral scene of a man and woman in 18th century dress in "courting" pose. The plates are framed in a mahogany or walnut beveled moulding with gold accents. Both prints are in excellent condition, and the plates are as well, though they do have some fine crazing appropriate to age. Overall dimensions of each are 10 1/4" square, and each plate is 6" in diameter. There is a hook on the back of each so they're ready to hang, either side by side or one above the other. If you prefer that they hang square rather than at the angle shown, you could remove the backing and manipulate the plates so that the scene is squared off. Both plates are artist signed though we can't read the signatures, and beneath the signatures reads "Amsterdam Holland". A great decorative accent for most any room in your home.
