Beautiful piece from the Frilli galleries in Florence, Italy. I've sold many antique marble & alabaster works of Antonio Frilli over my years as a dealer. This is a vintage brooch rather than antique as the original box shows the address on the Ponte Vecchio. The ground is malachite with inlay of rich colorful marble forming the flowers of yellow, rust & blue. The frame is sterling and the back is stamped 925. The pin is in perfect condition other than the silver in need of polishing which I haven't done. it would be great on display with a collection on miniatures when not worn.
