This large box from the Edwardian period ( 1901-1910 ) made with the most outstanding satinwood, just beautiful. This is a very large box with the original green floral fabric lining and a working lock with key & tassel. At some point in time someone made small marks while probably trying to open the lock, this is very minor and a photo is shown. The patina is deep & rich, there are only light age related scratches and it is very solid. Note the diamond shape lighter inlay on the top and front and the lighter outline. It would be a fine gift to either a woman or man.
