A stunning writers desk box of fine rosewood. Most likely French, but could be English. Fabulous mounts of silver-tone metal with over-mounts of engraved brass & mother of pearl tacks. The domed top unlocks & opens to reveal the interior divided compartments and retains the original glass inkwell & sander with floral engraved lids. The inkwell lid needs inside cleaning. There is one MOP tack lacking on the right center mount which should be easy to replace & one brass tack is a replacement. Overall in very good antique condition & very impressive !
