A very nice quality and large size French table or jewelry box from the Napoleon III period in France ( c1860s ). The figured walnut is inlaid with dots of mother of pearl on the slightly domed top, there is brass dot banding, canted corners of darker wood, 4 original bronze feet and only a few surface marks denoting the age. The interior was originally lined either with paper or with silk fabric, but ready for your to add your favorite fabric. This is a really good one to add to your table top display of antique boxes and caddies.
