Dog Lovers - Great Find! - Just Adorable C1930 Pin

This is just the cutest thing, and the perfect present for the dog lover. This little pup is a reverse glass painting and resembles a boxer, or Boston Terrier, or similar looking breed. He has a red collar on with the cutest expression on his face.

A lovely vintage piece, the glass bubble is set in an early plastic disk and dangles from a bar of the same media. The disc measures an approximate 1 inch diameter and the bar is about 1.5 inch. It is not Bakelite or celluloid and I cannot determine what plastic it is. It almost feels like a plastic rubbery mix, but it is hard and smooth. I haven't seen one like this or felt this type of plastic before. It resembles a lot of the Bakelite pins from the 1930s and 40s. It is in very nice vintage condition.
