This is a stunning lariat necklace, rich in color and design.

The necklace itself was created using a mixture of Green Aventurine round beads and faceted African brass cube beads. They are separated by very tiny brass chain.

The drops are gorgeous. One side is a carved Green Aventurine barrel bead carved with Oriental Symbols. The other side is a beautiful Tibetan Repousse carved brass cylinder. It is carved with flowers and birds and swirls.

Repousse is the art of embossing or pressing shapes into thin metal to create a design. This process has been used since ancient times to make everything from jewelry to religious Icons. Its almost a lost art nowadays.

The Repousse bead is 1.5" long. The Aventurine barrel bead is 25mm and the round beads are 8mm. The entire length of the lariat end to end is 26". The length proper of the lariat is 22".
