This was strung on stretch wire for a comfortable and proper fit. I used this to keep the focal bead on center stage.

The focal point of this bracelet is a gorgeous faceted Black Onyx stone set between two repousse bead caps done in the Tibetan hand crafted fashion.

Repousse is the art of embossing or pressing shapes into thin metal to create a design. This process has been used since ancient times to make everything from jewelry to religious Icons. Its almost a lost art nowadays. Some of these beads have traveled many continents and had numerous owners. Small chips, corrosion, and pitting are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. It is interesting to imagine how they have survived a hundred or more years of wear and travel. Just imagine who wore them in the past and the mystery associated with them.

It is surrounded by beautiful 10mm Black Onyx rondelle beads and separated by African brass rondelle beads.
