SOLD C.1900 Antique Enamel 14K Gold BPOE Elks Tooth Fob

This is an AUTHENTIC piece of Early 1900's Fraternal jewelry. C.1900 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) key or watch fob ~ pendant ~ charm is made from an Elks TOOTH.

It has a 14 Karat Yellow Gold "Cap" which features the Traditional SYMBOLS of the Elks Club in Gold & multi-color enamel. Three Dimensional DETAILED Elk Head has quite a 'rack' and Ruby color cabochon 'jewels' for eyes. In addition, it has hand engraved ~ chased Victorian style designs at the very top on the front of the cap.

Positioned between its horns is what looks like a clock with Roman Numerals - I thru XI in White Gold. The Clock has a Cobalt BLUE Enamel outer 'dial' & a Bright White enamel inner dial. Where XII (12 o'clock) should be, is a Candy Apple RED enameled star.

The back side of the 'cap' has NEVER been engraved ~ personalized with a special date (initiation) or name. Antique organizational fob MEASURES ~ 1 3/8 x 5/8 Inches (including integral loop) & is MARKED "14K" on the loop for a chain. The cap itself as been professionally acid tested (without filing) & I GUARANTEE it to be SOLID 14 Karat Gold.
