Late 19th Century Ketcham & McDougall silver thimble has LOVELY engraved 'stylized' Aesthetic period designs that resemble a hand fan. ANTIQUE sewing thimble has an angled 'ledge' below the ornate motif that has a CRISP serrated or 'coin' edge.

There is an area on the band that has no designs & has NEVER been personalized with a Name, Date or Monogram. There is a tiny Number 8 "hidden" at the top of the repeating design - indicating its size.

Hefty silver sewing thimble is lightly hallmarked up inside the top for 'Ketcham & McDougall' and is also marked 'Sterling'. Antique Silver sewing accessory MEASURES ~ 3/4 Inches Tall & a tad over 5/8 Inches in Diameter at Opening (base). It is in VERY NICE CONDITION! NO Holes, Cracks, Repairs, Excessive Wear and it is NOT 'out of round'... has not been polished recently & displays OLD Dark Patina that highlights its exquisite designs.

Would make a LOVELY gift or addition to your VICTORIAN sterling sewing accessory, seamstress, embroidery, crewel work, clothing or chatelaine collection.
