This is a C.1940's Sterling Silver & Enamel Painted pin by the QUALITY Costume jewelry company "CORO". Authentic WW2 Era Sweetheart jewelry is designed with an American Eagle with outstretched wings at the top and a Striped Shield below.

The Letters "US" are embossed at the Eagle's feet and "SWEETHEART IN SERVICE" on the shield. Homefront jewelry MEASURES ~ 1 1/4 x 5/8 Inches & is CLEARLY Marked "Coro" in script lettering (their logo), "STERLING" and "PAT. PEND.".

Vintage Military In Service pin is in VERY GOOD CONDITION! Has not been cleaned ~ polished - gold vermeil finish is RICH, Enamels are VIBRANT ... retains ORIGINAL Fully Functional Locking Clasp, Hinge & Pin Stem... only the most minute high point wear (on Eagles chest) from treasured use.
