Early Wooden Cheese or Dry measure Firkin with Locking Fingers. These firkins are commonly attributed to Shaker communities of New England but we believe this type is either Dutch or Scandinavian. These were used in daily life activities. Most but not all were painted & signed with the makers or owners initials. This one is unsigned & unpainted. The finish is original & old without paint traces. Measures 11.5" Tall x 10.5" diameter. Excellent condition.
