Offering a wide selection of glassware and vintage items gleaned from estate auctions of the Midwest.
This is Fenton's milk glass hobnail low banana bowl or boat. It is their #3720MI and was made from 1959-80. It stands on a ribbed stem/pedestal and has 11 rows of hobs, topped off with a crimped edge. It measures12 1/2" long x 6 1/2" tall and is in wonderful condition. (Since these boats are hand-formed, the measurements may vary from the stated dimensions.) It was formerly owned by a Fenton hobnail collector (you know how those collectors can be), and it has received excellent care.
NOTE: It was announced this week (08-09-07) that Fenton Glass Company will be closing its doors after being in business for over 100 years. A very tragic bit of news to hear and I'm sad for the family, employees and all of those who love and have collected Fenton glassware over the years...me, included.
