Caro-Nan Woven Basket Purse with Butterflies - 1970s

I was so excited when I ran across this darling Caro-Nan woven basket purse. Gee, it seems so long ago when they were popular and I guess when you think about it, it has been a long time ago. The 1970s. Wow! That's nearly 40 years!

This basket purse has broad woven sides with a flight of several butterflies in vivid colors on the front and back. One blue butterfly graces the wooden lid. Brown flannel on the base keeps it from marring that favorite end table and the yellow quilted lining was generally used for Caro-Nan pieces during that time.

The lid measures 9 1/2" x 5 3/4" and the height is 6 1/4". The box measures 4 3/4" deep x 9" in length. This purse is signed by Caro-Nan.
