Sun Bonnet Girls Feed Sack Tea Towel Set of Seven

Sun Bonnet Girls have always been a favorite of mine, as my mother taught me how to draw simple Sun Bonnet Girls when I was little. I probably covered every blank sheet of paper with them, until I moved on to paper dolls.

These tea towels have never been used, as they were apparently put away until the days of the week were finished. You see, there is only one (Sunday) that was embroidered on the bottom and the rest are blank. The hems have been closed with pink zigzag stitching, which makes the towels look more finished and neat.

The girls are all dressed in a lavender dress with different colored flowers and, of course, different tasks. They each measure 32" x 27" and are snow white. I tried to photograph all of them in one shot with all the designs showing, but found it a bit difficult. Therefore, I have included several shots of the towels for your perusal.

What a great display item for that country kitchen.
