The Amana Society of Iowa is well known for their delicious home-cooked food and baked goods in their restaurants and area stores. When visiting the colonies, you need to put your diet away for a day and enjoy.

Guten Appetit was issued by the Amana Preservation Foundation of Iowa. There are old and new recipes...many of German origin. There are 185 pages of recipes and each is signed by the contributor(s).

Not only are the recipes for the traditional German dishes, but also for wild game feeds. Of course, Germans love their sausages, sauerkraut and kuchen, along with delicious pies and cakes.

The book is soft cover and measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" long.
