Anchor Hocking 83-CT Ivory Grease Jar, Ribbed Sides, Tulip Lid

My mother always had one of these in the refrigerator with bacon grease for seasoning. She was a super cook, although I doubt this Anchor Hocking ivory grease jar with ribbed sides had much to do with it.

The lid is original and has red and yellow tulips. This jar went with a set of shakers and they were popular toward the end of the 1940s or early 1950s, as I recall.

It measures 4" x 4 1/4" tall with the lid in place. There is no damage, but the lid has wear and some rust from use and sitting around all those years. I did not try to remove the rust, as I prefer to allow the buyer to make any changes to appearance. It is in "as found" condition. Remember, people used these items most every day, so finding them in off-the-line condition is difficult.
