This is a lovely custard butter dish by Northwood c. 1898, which is named Louis XV, and was part of a large table set. The winged scrolls and gold gilding set this piece off and the fire of the glass is great.

The butter dish measures 6" tall with the lid by 7 3/4" wide. It stands on four fancy feet trimmed in gold and similar to the knob at the top of the lid. The gold is worn on some areas, which is to be expected for a piece of this age. There is a 1/2" flat chip under the lid, which does not show when the lid is in place.

Item ID: 01-1658
