Red Poppy Tea Canister by Decoware for Hall China

Decoware made these Red Poppy canisters to go with the Red Poppy pattern of Hall China. It is marked on the base with Decoware made in U.S.A., Pat. Pend., but I'm not sure of the date. The canisters were issued in the 1940s and sold by Montgomery Ward mail order. After WWII, the women were ready to brighten up their kitchens, so this pattern was hot.

This canister is in very nice condition inside and on the base. The only problem is that there is a spot on the lid where the paint has disappeared and a slight ding on the base (see photos). It measures 5 3/8" tall x 4 1/4" wide.
