Johnson Bros. of England is known for their wonderful collector/souvenir plates. This lovely plate is for the Grand Canyon and measures 10 5/8" wide. This plate was made exclusively for Diamond's and the history is on the base.

The scenes include: a great shot of the Grand Canyon in the center of the plate, Jerome, San Xavier Mission, Saguaro Cactus, the Seal of 1912, State Capitol, Phoenix, Roosevelt Dam, Cattle, Kaibab Squirrel, Cactus Wren and a Navajo Indian on the rim.

I would place this plate around the 1940-50s. It is in fine condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
