Offering a wide selection of glassware and vintage items gleaned from estate auctions of the Midwest.
This bowl measures 9 1/3" wide x 2 1/2" tall and is free of chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear to the gold trim on the rim, but this bowl is probably from the early 1900s, so some loss would be expected. There is also a bit of sand or a paint drip, which I'm mentioning for accuracy.
The design is of an array of pink roses, stems and leaves. The colors run to the lighter side, so the bowl is not intrusive. It would be a perfect bowl for serving strawberries or cherries. The roses are so lovely. I have provided a close up photo of the signature. Perhaps you recognize it.
The base is marked P S Germany in green and "hand painted is in red, as is #70.
This would also be a lovely bowl for display standing at the back of a hutch. Very nice.
