This lovely covered bowl has a red mark, which is overglazed. The mark indicates this piece was made between 1891-1914. Bawo & Dotter decorating studio did the hand painting. The number 2440 is carved into the base and there is a #80. I assume #2440 is the pattern.
This piece measures 6 3/4" handle to handle or 5 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" with the lid in place or 2 1/8" without the lid. This piece is free of chips, cracks or crazing, but does have a brown hairline at the base of the inside which carries faintly to the outside. I believe it is discoloration to the glaze.
The delicate brown transfer is highlighted by tiny dots or petals of white, mustard and pink enamel. The handles are ornate and the shape of the bowl is very interesting. I would say it would be used for a master sugar bowl or small servings of sauces or perhaps jellies and jams.
I have a large dinnerware set of this pattern. I have not been able to identify it, but have provided a number of photos with closeups to help you verify it is the pattern you are seeking.
