According to the Collector's Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery, Vol. 2, by Huxford and Nickel (2006 values), pg. 154, this is Roseville's "Peony" pattern of the 1940s. The lovely peony stands out against the blue/green background. When I saw this pitcher (and mugs, which are also listed on Ruby Lane) across the room, I got so excited. I am especially drawn to this Roseville green...it was a green that was used a lot in the 40s, which is when the Roseville "Peony" pieces were issued...1942. This green makes the peony "pop" and brings a richness to the design. It measures 3 1/2" tall x 4" wide, including handle. It is free of damage, although there is some crazing, which is not unusual for these pieces. I have two available, but this listing is priced per mug.
