This vintage linen post card features the impressive, neo-classical edifice of the Hotel Graystone in Buffalo, New York. The attractive exterior of the building, also known as the Greystone Hotel, is enhanced by the street scene of 1940s cars and cast iron street lamp posts.

The postcard is captioned on the reverse, "Hotel Graystone, Buffalo, Located in Johnson Park off Delaware Ave. Wm. Luigart - Managing Owner".

The hotel is on the National Register of Historic Buildings and lies within the heritage preservation area of Johnson Park & the West Village. The buiding is now derelict but there are plans for redevelopment rather than demolition. One can only hope...

This postally-unused "Colorcraft - Made by Dexter Press, Pearl River, N.Y." card is numbered 25942. This vintage linen post card is in clean, excellent condition with strong, bright colours. It would make a nice present for a hotel postcard collector or for a native of Buffalo, "the Queen City" in Western New York state.
