This comic chromolithograph Victorian scrap album card features monkeys enjoying the winter recreation of tobogganing. The anthropomorphic primates are sledding down the slope on an old-fashioned wooden toboggan with metal rails and red painted decoration. The full-colour, fantasy illustration depicts the smiling simians waving to the people climbing the snowy sled hill with a banner flying at the crest.

This antique colour litho card measures 3 1/8" x 4 3/4"(approx.) and is blank on the reverse. It is of hand-cut light card stock with strong period graphics and is numbered 794. It is in good condition with a modicum of attendant signs of age and wear (some surface loss on verso with a pinhole-sized flaw). This piece of Victorian-era ephemera / childhood memorabilia is eminently suitable for framing.
