Please Peruse Our Profferings Of Primarily Paper Pieces Of The Past - Vintage Ads, Postcards, Prints, Cards, Sheet Music, etc
The label features an illustration of a Native American Indian paddling a dug-out canoe with mountains visible on the distant shore. It's rather incongruous to see an indigenous person in full Plains Indian feather head dress in a supposedly Pacific coast scene. Oh well, it's advertising not anthropology!
The other side of the label depicts a large "Grade A Chum" salmon against a background of waves and snow-topped mountains.
The details provided on the vintage cannery label reads, "Produce of Canada Allied Export Co. Ltd. Vancouver, Canada Net Contents 15 1/2 ozs." "Litho'd by Grant & Sons" of Vancouver was the printer of this great tin label for the canning company.
The vintage food can label measures 9 3/4" x 4 1/4" (approx.). This old label is in excellent, unused condition and is eminently suitable for framing. The colours are strong and vibrant with great period graphics.
Vintage labels are great additions to advertising and ephemera collections. This one would also interest collectors of Native Americana. They also make ideal "wall art" when framed for display in a kitchen or for a diner or retro restaurant look.
Canada/USA Postage & Packing is $3.50 (Elsewhere to be determined). Multiple items purchased from SHARP OBJECTS may be combined for shipping purposes.
