This vintage, Second World War-era, Real Photo post card (RPPC) features St. Mary's Church in Huntsville, Ontario. Huntsville is one of the larger towns in Muskoka - the most sought-after area in Ontario's "Cottage Country". It's long been a summer playground for Southern Ontarians and American tourists in lodges, camps and cabins.

This black & white photograph depicts a lovely, old stone church. There is a concrete walk with steps up tiered lawns to the modest, stone building with simple lines and pointed, Gothic arch windows. These features should appeal to admirers of smalltown, 19th Century ecclesiastical architecture. We believe this was a place of worship for a Roman Catholic parish.

This postally-unused, real photo post card was printed by the AnnaBelle Studio. This undivided-back postcard is numbered 448 and is in excellent condition with little of the attendant signs of age and wear. This piece of 1940s-era ephemera is eminently suitable for framing or for collection in an album.

It should be of interest to collectors of "Old Ontario" or Muskoka memorabilia .Those with an interest in genealogy who have traced their family's history to this part of the Province of Ontario (Upper Canada prior to 1867) should also appreciate this little relic of the past. It would make a nice gift for the Local History buff or amateur genealogist who has an interest in the old Muskoka District (now Region). Or for anyone who grew up or enjoyed holidays in this vacation area.

Worldwide Postage & Packing is $2.50. Multiple items purchased from SHARP OBJECTS may be combined for shipping purposes.
