Please Peruse Our Profferings Of Primarily Paper Pieces Of The Past - Vintage Ads, Postcards, Prints, Cards, Sheet Music, etc
This full-colour, vintage beer ad features a picture of a smiling couple enjoying a picnic date (note the young lady's three-strand pearl choker). The man is opening a can of beer (no pull tabs back then) taken from an overflowing, red Falstaff cooler in the middle of the plaid rug. This (alcohol-fuelled?) romantic vignette is framed by the outline of the brand's label logo crest.
The ad copy for the Falstaff Brewing Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri states that "The Choicest Product of the Brewers' Art" is a "welcome way to top your day outdoors".
Or, if one prefers, the reverse features an ad for McCormick ("The House of Flavor") and their range of spices and seasonings - "Packed in decorative glass shakers ... a gay array for more flavorful meals indoors and out". These little bottles from "America's foremost spice house" were a familiar kitchen staple.
This LARGE 1950s advert measures 14" x 10 1/4" (approx.). The image of this piece of advertising memorabilia / ephemera has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This Fifties print ad is in very good condition and is eminently suitable for framing.
Canada/USA Postage & Packing is $5.00 (Elsewhere to be determined). Multiple items purchased from SHARP OBJECTS may be combined for shipping purposes.
