This full-colour, vintage costume jewelry ad features a selection of "The Most Enchanted Gift of All Jewels by Trifari". The "Designs Patented" jewellery is presented on a tufted, deep blue cushion background. The sparkly earrings, necklaces, bracelets and pins are from the following named collections: Twinkle, Promenade, Golden Crest and Place Vendome. The original retail prices are included which is an interesting reference for collectors.

Or if one prefers, the reverse features a Western-themed advertisement for Westinghouse television sets. The ad copy states that the picture is "So clear, so real you live the action". By way of illustration Grandpa and grandson have been transported from the livingroom to horseback, riding with the gun-toting cowboys visible on the TV screen!

Many vintage ads can act as "time capsules", reflecting the styles and sensibilities of a particular era. Christmas ads, perhaps due to the traditional, "family" nature of the holiday, often evoke a stronger sense of nostalgia. They can stir childhood memories of simpler, more sentimental times.

This LARGE 1950s ad measures 14" x 10 1/4" (approx.). The image of this piece of advertising memorabilia / ephemera has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This Fifties print ad is in very good condition (staple holes on the left edge & a little bit of rippling) and is eminently suitable for framing - perhaps as a decorative holiday accent for your home.
