Please Peruse Our Profferings Of Primarily Paper Pieces Of The Past - Vintage Ads, Postcards, Prints, Cards, Sheet Music, etc
The dated, 1950s Coca-Cola ad features an illustration of a U.S. Air Force serviceman in uniform visiting the camp PX vending machine. For the U.S.A.F. airman "a stop at the familiar red cooler is like meeting up with an old friend.". The Korean War era of the early '50s saw advertisers on the homefront using depictions of United States armed forces personnel or military as they did in World War II.
Or if one prefers, the reverse depicts an International Business Machines ad for the IBM Electronic Calculator. The copy states that the early computer "speeds through thousands of intricate computations so quickly that on many complex problems it's just like having 150 EXTRA Engineers". Those engineers are shown; each brandishing a relic of that time in technology - a slide rule!
The vintage ad measures 10" x 6 3/4" (approx.). This back cover advertisement is printed on glossy card stock with the attendant signs of use. This Fifties print ad is in very good condition and is eminently suitable for framing.
Canada/USA Postage & Packing is $3.50 (Elsewhere to be determined). Multiple items purchased from SHARP OBJECTS may be combined for shipping purposes.
