Please Peruse Our Profferings Of Primarily Paper Pieces Of The Past - Vintage Ads, Postcards, Prints, Cards, Sheet Music, etc
On the reverse is an advertisement for the Scottish company's American factory in Newark, New Jersey. It claims its spool cotton to be "Superior To All Others for Hand and Machine Sewing". There is also an exhortation to "Patronize Home Industry!".
This antique colour litho card measures 4" x 6 7/8"(approx.). It is of light card stock with strong period graphics and a die-cut hole at the top for hanging. This vintage card/calendar is in good condition with a modicum of the attendant signs of age and wear (e.g. blunted corners, minute spots). This piece of late Victorian-era advertising ephemera is eminently suitable for framing/collecting. It should be particularly appealing to collectors of old sewing items and needlecraft-related memorabilia!
