This romantic, vintage bookplate print is "From the Original Painting by Gordon Browne". This antique, full-colour picture depicts the fairy tale characters in the poem, "The Day-Dream", by Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892), the famed and popular Poet Laureate.

The lovely Princess has been awakened from her hundred-year slumber in Sleeping Palace by a kiss from a handsome Fairy Prince.

This colour plate is from a disbound, children's illustrated story book, "Children's Stories From Tennyson", by Nora Chesson which was published circa 1914 by Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd.. It is printed on glossy paper and is blank on the reverse. The colours of this charming, antique print are rich and vibrant.

This vintage litho print measures 9 1/2" x 7" (approx.) including margins. It is in very good condition with little of the attendant signs of age and wear and is eminently suitable for framing. It would be perfect in a boudoir, dressing area or on a vanity!
