Early Unmarked Kestner Child Doll

This sweet unmarked child doll is an early Kestner doll circa 1880. She measures just 20" tall. What a great cabinet size!

She has a bisque socket head with a blonde mohair wig, finely painted feathered brows, upper and lower lashes, great molding around her open/close eyes, open mouth with prominent philtrum, sweet ruby lips, great dimple in her chin with a pale complexion very much like the French dolls that Kestner was trying to copy at the time. Her composition ball jointed body has a wonderful patina along with a totally unreadable red mark. Please see pictures.

She is dressed in vintage pantaloons, petticoat, socks and vintage material thin blue cotton drop waist dress. Her shoes and bonnet are replacements.

Condition: Great! Her bisque is without any chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. You may notice a white line on the back of her head. I believe this was done when her original pate was taken off. It looks like a slice from a knife. It did not damage the bisque in any way. Please see pictures for condition.
