These two smaller trinket boxes were make by Conta & Boehme. The larger one measures approximately 3 1/2" tall including mirror and 4" wide. It is of a woman with a paddle rowing a boat. She has blonde hair, blushed face and a green top trimmed in gold. The box has orange and gold luster color highlights. Number 2990 is inscribed on the top lid. This sweet trinket box is of a cutout alter with a Bible in the center. There is an angel kneeling on the center of the base. The entire box is trimmed in gold with a purple painted back drop for the angel. The base of the box is incised with the number 2981 maker unknown. It measures 5" tall and 2 1/2" wide. This tiny Victorian trinket box was made by Conta & Boehme sometime between 1870 to 1890. The bureau or trinket box measures just 2" tall and 2 3/4" wide. The oval base is (was) trimmed in gold and embossed with vines and leaves. The cover is encircled by little gilded rosettes and slightly ribbed. The top has a pocket watch, ring and seal stamp.
