Stunning Large Old Art Deco French Art Pottery Louis Dage Vase

I am very pleased to offer this superb example of the gorgeous work of the renowned Parisian ceramicist, Louis Dage. He was active between the years 1920 and 1930 and was named "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" in 1924. He is one of the originators of the Art Deco style in pottery, known especially for his brilliant colored stylized flowers and his Deco shapes. This lovely--and very large & heavy--vase features large panels of stylized flowers glazed in shades of bright blue & pale green on an orange and black geometric panel. The vase body is glazed in mottled dove gray with geometric designs in black. A wide collar of black is at the neck and the interior is lined in deep turquoise. It stands 10 ½” tall and approximately 4 ½” in diameter at the base (about 8” diameter at its widest point). It is signed at the base L. DAGE and MADE IN FRANCE on the bottom. This is in stunning condition with its only issue being a couple of small flakes on the inside lip. See the photos for details. Shipping weight: 8 lb. 4 oz. (Location: FD)
