Offered here is a truly breathtaking Art Nouveau charger, or platter, made by the renowned faiencerie Keller & Guerin in Luneville, France. This depicts a pair of golden yellow and deep red apples accented with burgundy red cherries beside them. The foliage of both fruits is glazed in shades of pale and bright greens. Though it is not so marked, I would speculate that this is one of Obert’s designs, as it certainly looks like his work and he turned out some of the most spectacular Art Nouveau designs for Keller & Guerin. This dates to between 1900 and 1920. It is marked with the underglaze backstamp “K&G, Luneville, Depose, France” in green. This measures 12 ¼” in diameter. It’s condition is superb, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Even the gilt trim on the edges in all intact! Shipping weight: 3 lb. 6 oz.(Location: OC)
