Gorgeous Antique Austrian Majolica Art Nouveau Pink & Blue Carnation Jardiniere

This is a gorgeous Austrian majolica jardinière and so typically Art Nouveau! It features two crossed carnations (I think!) glazed in pink on a cream colored central medallion surrounded by twining foliage glazed in green, all on a body glazed in cornflower blue. The handles and the foot are also trimmed in green, while the interior is glazed in cream. It measures 5 ¾” long, 3 ¾” wide, and 3 ¼” tall. It dates to circa 1880 – 1900. The base is marked with the impressed number 10637 and the word AUSTRIA in underglaze black. The jardinière is in superb condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There are two tiny glaze flakes (one approx. 2mm, the other 1mm) on the back, but they do not detract in any way. See the photos for details. Shipping weight: 1 lb. 7 oz. (Location: A5)
