This is a lovely pair of hand-painted cruets in the traditional Florentine “Grotesques” motif most often called now by the term Raffaelesco. In traditional colors, each cruet features ornately rendered dragons on either side and a blue and yellow floral motif in the center. Each cruet measures 4 ¼” tall and 3” in diameter at its widest point, excluding the handle. They are not marked at all, not even with a number, so I can’t tell you who made them, but my guess would be these date to the 1930 ...

This is a gorgeous ewer and beautifully graphic! It features a swirled outsized pattern of traditional faience motifs done in shades of blue, accented with black and golden yellow on a very pale blue ground. The interior is also glazed in pale blue. It measures 9” tall and approximately 5 ½” in diameter, excluding the handle. This lovely old Delft covered urn or ginger jar bears one of the traditional Delft floral motifs hand-painted in shades of blue and white. The body and lid are gently ribbed giving the piece a subtly undulating appearance. It measures 8” tall and 4 ½” in diameter at its widest point. It is clearly marked on the base with the words, DELFTS, HOLLAND, HANDPAINTED with a stylized crown maker’s mark. I have not been able to locate the pottery to whom this mark belongs.
