I love the exuberance of these bright red old African glass trade beads. I combined them with small, old brass African beads and Sleeping Beauty Turquoise which adds a little extra little bit of "pop." The inclusions in the glass beads are commonly found in this type of bead and I believe add to the charm.

(Maret means The earth in Amharic/Ethiopian).

The earrings were made to accompany a matching necklace (item SC-163), but stand well on their own. They measure just short of 2 inches long and hang from gold filled ear wires.
