MARET:Very Old Red African Trade Beads with Brass and Turquoise Necklace

I love the exuberance of these bright red old African glass trade beads. I combined them with small, old brass African beads and stabilized* turquoise which I put in the pendant for that extra little bit of "pop." The inclusions in the glass beads are commonly found in this type of bead and I believe add to the charm. This is a bold necklace that can be dressed up or down.

It would be stunning with a black sheath or fun and gorgeous with cruise wear. It will bring just about any outfit to life.

The necklace measures approximately 17 1/2 inches long with the pendant measuring approximately 2 inches long. The clasp is gold filled. There are matching earrings listed separately (item: SC-164). (MARET means The earth in Amaharic/Ethiopian).

* Much of the Turquoise used in jewelry today is stabilized by being submerged in resin. As I cannot verify with certainty that the turquoise in this jewelry has not been enhanced, I have listed it as stabilized.
