Our Service Pledge To You:
We would like you to feel as if you were going up to your grandmother's attic and looking in the dusty old trunk from long ago. You’ll find that our old trunk (we call it our treasure chest) is full of antique and vintage jewelry. You’ll also find a treasure trove of smalls, including silver, ladies and gentle-men's accessories and some unique items to choose from. All of our merchandise on the following pages is guaranteed as described. We are honest and try to be accurate in our descriptions. If you have any questions please ask before making your purchase. We want everyone to be pleased with their purchase.
 
Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
I do not charge a handling fee. I only charge actual shipping charges. I ship only USPS "Priority/Insured/Confirmed" for
everybody's protection. This applies to all sales. The only exception are buyers from out of the USA. Shipping
rates vary depending on your purchase. If shipping is calculated automatically and you proceed through checkout I have added the delivery confirmation charge of $.65 to the insurance calculation. If you are an international buyer please email me for shipping rates before you purchase. A note to International Buyers: We comply with all customs regulations and the sale price is noted as the value of goods. Thank you.

Restocking Fee:
We charge a 10% restocking fee on all items returned unless other arrangements have been made BEFORE PURCHASE. Please ask all questions necessary before your purchase to avoid any problems.

Other Information:
We accept Paypal payments however, shipment is on hold until the funds clear my bank. This normally takes 3 business days or less. Paypal payment is expected within three days of receiving paypal invoice. Please note that Paypal may not be used on reduced/sale, or layaway items.

We also accept personal checks however, there is a 10 business day hold before shipping. If you make payment with Money Order or Cashiers Check your purchase ships on my next shipping day after receipt of payment. We only accept payment in US dollars.

TERMS OF LAYAWAY: Layaway is possible. Please ask for details. Due to such circumstances, no returns/refunds will be accepted on items purchased with a layaway plan. Paypal may not be used for layaways unless other arrangements are made. I require payments (check, money order, or cashiers check ) to be made on time, but I allow a 7 day leeway. If it is going to be longer than 7 days, please let me know. If there is no communication and payments aren't made the order will then be canceled and the first 1/3 payment, which is 1/3 of the cost of the item, is non-refundable. So, please 'talk' to me if something comes up and you aren't able to make a payment in a timely manner. I hate to have to make such rules, but I have had past problems with layaways so I like to get the terms up front now. I am understanding however, just let me know if there is a problem so we can work together on it. I love 'communication'. Thank you!

A note about vintage and antique paper/ephemera goods. I am completely honest in my descriptions however, as you know paper items may be fragile due to their age. I am not a collector of certain paper items so not being a collector I may not notice something that a collector is looking for. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So PLEASE ask all questions or specifics before making your purchase to avoid being unhappy when you receive your item. I will be truthful in my reply. I want everyone to be happy with his or her new treasures. Thank you!

A note about sterling silver. Antique sterling is a soft metal so please understand that there may be some imperfections. I will try my best to note any imperfections but my idea of an imperfection may not be the same as what you, a collector, consider an imperfection, so please ask all your questions before you purchase a sterling item.
