Show someone you really care with this beautiful “LARGE” heart. It is carved from ivory. Both sides have dark marks that are in the ivory itself. The spots are part of the charming patina. It dates to the mid to late 1800s. Was possibly carved by a sailor at sea for his lady. Measures 1 3/8 inches (without the bail). There are no marks on the bail, which looks to be brass or tarnished silver.
