This wax doll is an early candy container dating to circa 1870. Her concealed box under her skirt it made very uniquely in that it has a ribbon attached to each side and on one side there is a snap so the box is held in place very tightly (see photos). I just love her delicate little wax hands and her straw purse and bonnet (see photos). She has real hair under her bonnet. She is in very good condition. Her little nose has a little push on it but to be expected. She measures 6.5 inches high.
