Late 1800’s. This lovely nut scoop was probably given as a gift. On the back of the handle there is a date engraved “Oct. 27th, 1898”. The front of the handle has the initials “MCH” engraved. The bowl has open star and hole decoration. There is a makers mark but it is unreadable. Marked “Sterling”. I could not find the manufacturer or pattern in my reference books. Condition: Excellent.
