ATTENTION "HAND" COLLECTORS! C1880s. This is a very nicely carved ivory hand. It has such a lovely patina. I'm not sure what the hand is suppose to be carrying or what it signifies. Possibly a scroll. Maybe a graduation certificate or the passing of some kind of a duty or task on to another in a ladies club or fraternity. Maybe it has religious significance.
