Heavy Old Silverplate Brides Basket - Leaves And Grapes

This brides basket is really heavy and well made with a wonderful scrolly vine of grape leaves on the handle and grapes and leaves on the footed base. The bowl part itself has a nice feathery scrolly design around the edge. Very detailed and high quality! It has an interesting makers mark (shown in the last photo) but I have no idea who the maker is! It stands about 9” to the top of the handle (when extended) 3 ¼” from table to top of bowl and is 12 ½” across. It is quite heavy weighing over 3 pounds!

It is in wonderful condition especially considering it is probably 80 years old or more! There are the usual scratches from use and a couple of spots of plating wear on the inside of the bowl but nothing out of the ordinary for this age and actually it is in rather good condition for the age.
